A-List: Pop Star RPG Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 22, 2026 · Developer: hychetech
Overview
A-List: Pop Star RPG is a paid single-player iPhone game developed by hychetech. Version 1.0 of the app does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data, device identifiers, usage analytics, or gameplay data outside of your device.
What Data the App Collects and How It Is Used
A-List: Pop Star RPG does not collect any data from you or your device. Specifically:
- No Account or Identity Data: The app has no user account system, login screen, or registration flow, and never asks for your real name, email address, phone number, physical address, or contacts.
- No Analytics or Diagnostics Collection: The app does not include any first-party or third-party analytics code, telemetry trackers, or crash-reporting SDKs that transmit usage or diagnostic data off your device.
- No Advertising or Tracking: The app contains no advertisements, does not access your device's Advertising Identifier (IDFA), and does not track you across apps or websites.
- No Network Transmission of Gameplay Data: All gameplay logic, artist stage names, song and album titles, and career events run locally on your iPhone and are never transmitted to hychetech servers or any external server.
What Data the App Stores on Your Device
To let you save and continue your music career, A-List: Pop Star RPG stores only the following data locally on your iPhone:
- One Career Save File (a-list-save.json): Stored inside the app's local Documents folder on your iPhone. This file holds your career progress and includes the artist stage name and song or album titles you type in the game.
- Two App Preferences in UserDefaults: The app uses iOS UserDefaults (declared in the app's Apple Privacy Manifest under reason code CA92.1) solely to remember whether in-game Haptics are turned on or off and which career tier reveals you have already seen.
All of this local data remains on your device and is never sent to hychetech. The app contains no iCloud Drive, CloudKit, or Game Center code. Because your career save file is stored in the app's standard iOS Documents folder and is not excluded from backup, Apple's operating system includes it in your personal iCloud Backup and local computer backups by default if you have device backups enabled in your iPhone settings.
Third-Party Sharing and SDKs
A-List: Pop Star RPG is built exclusively with Apple system frameworks (Foundation, SwiftUI, UIKit, Observation, Charts, CoreText, and Darwin) and contains no third-party SDKs, external package dependencies, analytics frameworks, or advertising networks. Because the app does not collect or transmit any user data off your device, hychetech does not share, sell, or disclose any user data from the app to third parties.
The app contains no in-app purchase or payment-processing code. When you purchase and download A-List: Pop Star RPG on the App Store, your transaction is processed entirely by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy; hychetech never receives or stores your payment card details or Apple Account billing information.
Data Retention, Deletion, and Revoking Consent
- On-Device Save Data: Your saved career data stays locally on your iPhone only for as long as you keep the app installed. The game has one save slot and no separate in-game delete button. When you finish a career and choose Start New Career after confirmation, the game replaces the active career and keeps a local backup copy of the replaced save on your device. To permanently delete all local save files, backup copies, and preferences from your iPhone, delete A-List: Pop Star RPG (Delete App) from your device. (Using Offload App in iOS Settings removes the app binary while keeping your local save file on your iPhone.)
- Support Emails: The only way hychetech receives your email address or any information from you is if you voluntarily send an email to our support address outside the app. We use your email address and message solely to reply to your support question and troubleshoot your issue. We do not add support senders to any marketing list or share support emails with third parties. You can revoke consent for us to hold your support correspondence and request permanent deletion of your support emails at any time by emailing us at the address below.
